About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews but if we had to distil it down to a job description (which we do, because this is a job description), it would be this: As our Executive Assistant you will be tasked with providing comprehensive support to the Chief Executive Officer and Founder taking on a project management approach while remaining in close contact with the rest of the C-Level executives. In this role, you will gain a broad scope of the organization - discretion and confidentiality are therefore essential to be successful in this position. You are the link between the different departments and are expected to stimulate and ensure inter-departmental synergy.

As our Executive Assistant the key important attribute is being a team player for which no task is too small or too large if it contributes to the company’s success. It will be imperative to take a customer service led attitude with your daily assigned tasks. This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Mews has a track record of success, which is highly influenced from our entrepreneurial and results-driven leadership team, and you will play a critical part in maintaining and accelerating our success.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • You undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of our Executive’s activities.
  • Plan and manage complex meeting and travel arrangements for our Executive while maintaining calendar organization and management.
  • You will empower and support our Executive’s with your hands-on approach to different activities and deliver structure through the management of day-to-day routine.
  • You will connect with our colleagues on behalf of our Executive. Which also means that you show leadership, credibility, trust and support in your contact with board members and other colleagues.
  • You keep our Executive’s well-informed of their commitments and responsibilities. You prepare meetings, coordinate and monitor actions and decisions, provide an excellent follow-up on tasks.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings as required - determine attendees and prepare/distribute agenda in advance, prepare briefings for guest speakers and attendees.
  • Knowledge of up-and-coming new venues, restaurants which can be used for events, dinners and giftings as required.
  • Work within the EA team to collaborate, effective transfer of information and share knowledge.

Requirements


You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • Maximum of 5 years gained experience within the EA role, in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software; ability to design and edit graphic presentations and materials.

  • Empathetic decision-maker - you put customers first and seek to understand what will work for them.
  • Intellectually curious - you love to tackle problems with others.
