Senior Data Engineer - opportunity in Prague / Brno

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer for an IT company with branches in the USA, Great Britain and the Czech Republic who deals with data integration with customers in the USA and Western Europe. The company helps clients create and manage better data channels with an innovative data management platform and an in-house team of data experts. The company works with some of the world's leading organizations in areas such as finance, healthcare and consulting.
Your work will be the analysis, design and implementation of customer projects in the field of data integration, using software tools of the company. Frequent direct contact with foreign customers requires good communication skills. Our customers are multinational companies and promising startups in the field of finance / FinTech, healthcare, retail, consulting, or logistics (VISA, Tesla, Moody's, HSBC, Accenture, FedEx,)
What will you do:
- Communicate with customers to specify business requirements, analyze entry and target systems
- Design the architecture of data integrations in complex environments, for example:
- Implementation of data warehouses (DWH)
- On-premise system migration to the cloud (for example CRM)
- ETL implementation
- Develop, test and deploy solutions using company tools.
- Regularly present the results of your work as part of agile development.
- Occasionally train the customer to operate the solution we supply.
Requirements
- Experience with data integration (interconnection of data systems)
- Database knowledge (eg Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, Postgres)
- Experience programming / scripting
- Experience with Linux / Unix operating systems
- Experience with Git or SVN
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Experience in testing and sprinciples of software engineering
- General knowledge of Computer Science
