Job Description
The Platform Team is at the core of development here at Mews. Our focus is on enabling other engineers to build applications with high speed, quality and performance. We believe that building amazing applications should be an easy and joyful experience. We are responsible for maintaining and innovating our stack, setting the overall technological direction and improving productivity of our engineers.
We are looking for a senior engineer that would join our effort to build a world-class development experience for our engineers.
Your mission
- Develop infrastructure for blazingly fast deploys to production. Our vision is 15 minutes to production (including thousands of e2e tests).
- Maintain superior code qualitywhether it be with static checks like linters or by applying your expertise during solutioning and code reviews.
- Evolve architecture of our applications. We aim for neither monolith nor microservices, but rather for a lazily loadable modularity.
- Provide other engineers with a powerful application framework to reduce boilerplate and speedup development.
- Improve observability of our applications to help teams spot and correct performance regressions.
Requirements
- You are an engineer with a deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- You are a deep analytical thinker and profound problem solver.
- You have experience with the technologies that we build our apps with mainly React, Redux, styled-components, and fp-ts.
- You care about writing and maintaining a high-quality code, but also can make compromises when needed.
- You are passionate about technology, and you look for innovative solutions to common problems.
- You are a team player that is not afraid to help and mentor your colleagues.
