Dentons Europe Services s.r.o. is seeking a suitable candidate for a position of Finance Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for financial and wider operational management of a large team of international lawyers based in various European and non-European countries. You will closely collaborate with finance teams as well as senior lawyers (partners), across Europe and other regions of Dentons.
JOB DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial risk management, internal controls and compliance.
- Solving day-to-day financial and administrative issues.
- Involvement in preparation process of client invoices on a monthly basis.
- Controlling of accounts receivable and cash collections.
- Management of cash flow.
- Assistance with legal and administrative tasks.
- Manage key financial points of client contracts working with Finance management, Account Management, and General Counsel teams.
- Maintain and ensure that all contractual obligations are properly tracked and followed.
- Preparation of annual budget.
- Preparation of different monthly financial/performance reports.
- Controlling of actual to budget performance on monthly basis.
- Initiate conversations with senior lawyers when a likelihood of either an under-run or over-run of project financials seems possible.
- In conjunction with local Finance and Account colleagues, coordinate with billing team to ensure that all fees and out of pocket cost are billed to clients in a timely manner.
- Manage the team’s AR and WIP.
- Review and transmit billing instructions/additional transfers, write-offs, estimates to local Finance and Accounting team and ensure all instructions are clear.
- Explain any variances in revenue results vs forecast.
- Work on ad hoc reporting requirements as requested.
- Involvement in audit process and preparation of tax filings.
EXPECTATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Finance, ideally in Big4.
- Very good command of MS Office, mainly - MS Excel: Proficient in advanced functions and formulas to perform (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphs and data capture).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), knowledge of Spanish language is an advantage
- Knowledge of Thomson Reuters’s financial systems is a plus.
