As a Test Team Leader you will lead an independent team working in complex development projects supporting company's IoT (Internet of Things) and ETiB (Energy Transition in Buildings) growth initiatives on software and hardware verification and validation tasks.
Your tasks will be:
- Lead, develop (50%) and contribute (50%) to the work of cross-functional independent test team (Hardware/Firmware/Software testers) that supports the product line Ramp;D organization.
- Contribute to the development of product specifications, ensuring their alignment with test specifications and test plans.
- Provide input to project planning by estimates of test activities.
- Determine and anticipate staffing and training requirements and take the necessary steps to ensure they are fulfilled.
- Lead team of test engineers through the design and development process ensuring that company's stage gate process and project deliverables are completed and adhered too in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure effective co-operation with other divisions and product lines, engineering/Innovation centers, as well as internal and external service providers/partners to meet requirements
- Drive use of appropriate testing methodologies, tooling and process selection, electrical, electronic amp; software standards.
- Secure compliance with internal as well as IEC/UL standards and regulations as well as adherence of engineering processes to ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and EHS directives
- Provide and maintain complete test documentation and records for internal / external use.
- Approve requirements and test reports for projects and product development.
- Demonstrate project issue resolution knowledge and effectively make decisions based on appropriate data.
- Take a leadership role in identifying root cause of problems found, develop solutions, and implement changes for problems as they arise.
- Effectively communicate expectations of performance and lead, motivate, evaluate, monitor, and develop the employees to ensure their maximum contribution to the achievement of the team objectives.
- Maintain effective relationships with related functions, provide reporting according to communication plan.
Requirements
We would like you to know / have:
- Electrical / Electronics / Software engineer (embedded systems), Masters degree preferred
- 5+ years in firmware/software/hardware verification amp; validation
- 3+ years of team management
- Strong technical attitude; product knowledge and knowledge of UL, IEC, EN, ISO standards
- Experience in project management skills (classical, agile scrum)
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, German and Czech is an advantage.
