Job Description

Mews is disrupting the hospitality industry with a cloud-based property management solution for hotels, hostels, apartments and more. The Mews Hospitality Cloud acts as a central nervous system for properties of all sizes from small independent hotels to large group brands. Over 1,600 brands across 60 countries run their hotel operations, booking, payments and guest management on Mews.

As we onboard clients in a multitude of regions, grow the team, and develop more products, the business gets more and more complex. We are looking for someone who can help us to manage our Corporate Treasury. This position is based in the Prague HQ which oversees finance in multiple countries. The role will initially focus on process automation and streamlining in order to formalize our treasury processes and ensure accurate accounting records. Later on the role will transform into the oversight of the whole group treasury function.

Responsibilities

First 6-9 months:

  • Streamline and standardize reconciliation of payment balances in accounting records
  • Participate on new ERP implementation project with aim to fully automate banks and payment gateways accounting
  • Consolidate treasury processes and organize building reports/dashboards for treasury management
  • Setup group FX and Credit risk policies and processes

Long term:

  • Maintain 50+ company bank accounts in 11 entities as administrator and serve as a main point of contact for banks
  • Overseeing liquidity and cash balances within the group in line with operational needs and external investor covenants
  • Manage foreign exchange and company working capital in line with FX and credit risk policies
  • Ensuring accurate transaction flow and accounting reconciliations of Mews payment product
  • Serve as a main finance point of contact for Mews payment product team for issue resolution
  • Supporting finance operations team with any ad hoc issues related to banks or Mews payments product
  • Setup, streamline and maintain automated merchant payout processes
  • Administration of external and inter-company loans
  • Leading other ad hoc treasury related projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in fintech or similar area
  • Understanding of debit/credit cards processing processes and payment gateway products
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and experience with accounting reconciliations
  • Experience with FX management
  • Excellent knowledge of excel, database tools and overall tech savvy person
  • Higher Education preferably in Economics
  • Great communication and project management skills
