Job Description
Mews is disrupting the hospitality industry with a cloud-based property management solution for hotels, hostels, apartments and more. The Mews Hospitality Cloud acts as a central nervous system for properties of all sizes from small independent hotels to large group brands. Over 1,600 brands across 60 countries run their hotel operations, booking, payments and guest management on Mews.
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our platform team. The platform team’s main mission is to lead our technology innovation, keep our codebase up to date and support other product-focused teams in their tasks.
We keep all our frontend code in one big monorepo, where all the products sit side-by-side together with all the shared code and libraries. We must ensure that everything is properly configured, that all dependencies are working together and that they get updated when new versions are released. If any tooling we need is not working properly or missing functionality, we build our own. We maintain and evolve our continuous integration and deployment pipeline that deploys multiple times per day to production. And on top of that we need to keep all the code properly organized. All of that and more is the responsibility of our platform team.
In terms of technology, most of the codebase is now written in TypeScript and the products are built on top of React, Redux amp; styled-components.
Responsibilities
- Drive technological innovation of our codebase
- Maintain and improve our deployment pipelines
- Configure and keep updated tools we use (linters, bundlers, etc.)
- Create generic utilities and libraries for product teams
- Help product teams to solve complex problems
Requirements
- Extensive experience with TypeScript
- Experience with configuration of projects, including CI/CD
- Strong interest in new technologies and trends and ability to apply them in practice
- Understanding of technologies we use in products (React, Redux, styled-components)
- Effective communication in English
