Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Follow professional project management methodologies and best practices (e.g. Prince II) as well as the company processes and tools, managing each stage of the project life cycle (e.g. Start-up amp; Initiation, Plan phases, Execute phases, Project Closure) in accordance with the Companies Global Project Management Process.
  • Develop and/or review Business Cases to ensure project feasibility and obtain approval from the Project Approval Boards.
  • Create project plans and proposals that outline goals, time frame, and funding limitations. This includes strategy, planning/scheduling, risk assessment and mitigation plans, procedures for project execution and staffing, and all necessary resources to achieve project objectives successfully.
  • Have overall responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities, including identifying dependencies, setting time objectives, allocating resources, defining quality criteria, adhering to cost constraints, and meeting overall project objectives.
  • Coordinate activities and resources throughout all project phases to ensure timely delivery by various delivery teams.
  • Implement projects as outlined in the approved business case, controlling costs, scope, timelines, benefits, and quality.
  • Manage project communication and reporting, including roadmap, planning, actual and forecast costs against budget, deliverables, decision-making needs, and escalation for conflict resolution. Anticipate and address stakeholders' needs. Manage governance between involved and/or impacted teams (e.g. project vs operation teams, IT vs business teams, Infrastructure vs Security vs Network amp; UCC teams) and between the company and third-party suppliers.
  • Monitor risks and issues, and devise mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Proactively manage the impact of the project on the organization, in alignment with affected managers.
  • Manage external resources (e.g. cross-functionally or multi-disciplinary teams), including offshore delivery models.
  • Define, manage, and report on budget actuals versus forecast. Keep track of all costs.
  • Engage senior business leadership to actively support and take ownership of major projects.
  • Adhere to defined management and delivery processes for IT projects and other relevant policies (e.g. HW/SW standards, Internal Controls, Compliance amp; Information Security).
  • Deliver projects with agreed-upon quality, schedule, and cost, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6+ years of work experience, with 4-6 years in project management within a large global IT organization or consultancy
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large projects with budget responsibility
  • Good understanding of general IT technology, systems, and management processes in Infrastructure, Network, and IT Security
  • University degree in business or technical subject preferred, or equivalent education
  • PMI / Prince2 (or similar industry standard project management qualification) is desirable
  • Good knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes
  • Experience in process management, Six-Sigma, Lean is a plus
  • Experience in designing and implementing new processes or methodologies in complex organizations
  • Strong understanding of business processes and objectives
  • Ability to lead global virtual teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels, including executive management
  • Knowledge of IT Project Methodologies
  • Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills are essential
  • Travel Requirement: Regular (20-50%)
  • Fluency in English (spoken amp; written);
