Job Description

Are you excited about taking on a new data challenge? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently looking for our first data analyst. This is a fantastic chance to create a data warehouse from the ground up. Therefore, we are searching for someone who is independent and takes this responsibility very seriously.

In this position, you will have a crucial role in promoting Ventrata's data-driven culture and the team's mission of generating valuable insights that drive business success. You will have an active role in shaping Ventrata's data-driven strategy.

Ventrata is an enterprise ticketing platform designed for high-volume attraction, tour, and activity operators. Our all-in-one platform powers online, in-person, amp; third-party sales, and provides robust functionality around resource management, hardware integrations, and 24/7 live support. Ventrata's solutions are trusted by some of the biggest names in the industry: Big Bus Tours, Sightseeing Pass, Tootbus, Historic Tours of America, Boston Duck Tours, Magnicity / M56 Group, Pilsner Urquell Experience, Fat Tire Tours, Museum of Illusions, multiple Gray Line and City Sightseeing operators.

Despite the challenging environment, Ventrata continues to grow in double digits. During the global pandemic, many attractions have restructured and upgraded their technology. For Ventrata, this has driven a growth rate of 6× from $80m in ticket sales in 2019 to more than $900m in 2022. Ventrata has been profitable since 2018 and holds substantial private backing. Our global team is based in Portugal, Czechia, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Slovakia, Croatia, Nigeria, and the US.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Collect and analyze large sets of data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Interpret complex data sets and provide clear, actionable insights to guide our product strategy.
  • Product Performance Evaluation:
    • Evaluate the performance of our products through in-depth analysis of user behavior, feature usage, and customer feedback.
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of user journeys, conversion paths, and customer segmentation to optimize user experiences based on data-driven insights.
    • Collaborate with our Product Management Team to identify areas for optimization and innovation.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting:
    • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to effectively communicate key performance indicators and trends.
    • Present findings to the product team and leadership in a clear and compelling manner.

Requirements

      • Experience working in SaaS or an international environment.
      • Advanced knowledge of SQL and strong analytical skills.
      • Experience with the following tools is advantageous:
        • PostHog, Smartlook, Bloomreach
        • Excel, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Keboola
        • HubSpot
        • BigQuery
      • Ability to collaborate well with various teams, particularly Product Management.
      • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment.
      • Eagerness to continually learn new data techniques and tools.
      • Self-motivation with a passion for creating a data-driven atmosphere.
      • Ability to take significant responsibility for shaping data practices.
      • Strong communication skills for effective data findings presentation, project management skills, and the ability to manage projects independently.
