We’re looking for a Lead Software Developer to help us take our Hyro Digital Storytelling Software to the next level. Hyro is more than just a software tool; it’s a canvas that lets you paint your story using any technology platform, from immersive experience rooms to company experience centers.
As Lead Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in defining the technological underpinnings and software architecture of our current and future solutions.
You’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies and design principles including Node.js, React, TypeScript, tRPC, NestJS, fp-ts, RxJS, PostgreSQL, Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Systems, Media Distributed Processing, SaaS, Docker and others. You’ll be a key member of a team that’s pushing the boundaries of digital storytelling, shaping a tool used by businesses across the globe to captivate their audience and bring their narratives to life.
Responsibilities
As Lead Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical guidance to a team of talented developers, nurturing their growth and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Being instrumental in building and expanding the team further.
- Designing and delivering a scalable component architecture that integrates seamlessly with Purple’s broader ecosystem.
- Ensuring that the team adheres to our processes and development standards, maintaining the high quality of our software.
- Proactively communicating with stakeholders on critical topics, ensuring transparency and alignment across the board.
- Offering valuable input for product development from a technical perspective, helping to shape Hyro into an even more powerful storytelling tool.
- Facilitating proactive communication with QA, DevOps, and UX teams during the planning and delivery of features, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and smooth workflows.
- Working effectively in a continuous delivery environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer or similar role in software development.
- Proficiency in Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, especially with regard to scalability and integration.
- Excellent leadership and mentorship skills.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, forward-thinking, and solution-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with tRPC, NestJS, fp-ts, RxJS, PostgreSQL, Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Systems, Media Distributed Processing, SaaS, Docker and others is a plus.
